BIOGRAPHY

Sandra Panovska Nacevski is a Molecular Biologist with a Specialization in Medical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics, bringing more than 10 years of experience in clinical genetics, molecular testing, and laboratory operations.

As Assistant Coordinator at NeurAnova, Sandra supports the coordination of complex patient journeys, helping connect families with appropriate diagnostic resources, specialist consultations, and advanced genomic testing pathways. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient communication, case organization, and the integration of personalized diagnostic approaches for individuals with neurodevelopmental and complex medical conditions.

Her professional expertise includes molecular diagnostics, genetic testing, laboratory quality management, and the implementation of advanced technologies such as Real-Time PCR and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development of diagnostic workflows, research initiatives, and clinical support programs designed to improve patient outcomes and access to precision medicine.

Sandra also has extensive experience in prenatal genetics, including non-invasive prenatal diagnostics (NIPD), and is recognized for her ability to communicate complex genetic information in a clear and compassionate manner. Her strong scientific background, combined with a patient-centered approach, enables her to effectively support both healthcare professionals and families navigating challenging diagnostic journeys.

In parallel with her work at NeurAnova, She also currently serves as Regional Chief Scientific Officer for Southeast Europe in Genetics & Genomics at OMI Biomedics.
